A grey wagtail looking for food
A grey wagtail pictured in Ballincollig Regional Park during the summer. He was hopping around in the bushes next to the River Lee, when Rory spotted him, got a few photos and called me over to see. I’d never have seen him otherwise, as he’s tiny.

Sunset at Ballycotton
Small boat on the water outside Ballycotton harbour as the sun sets behind.
Sunset Boats in Crosshaven
Sunset over the boats moored in Crosshaven, Co Cork.
Malaga Sunrise
The view from my hotel, looking out on the Mediterranean before the sun rose. There was a beautiful glow on the horizon.
The Colours of Culture Night
A long exposure photo of a street with a passing bus that says, “Culture Night” on the front captured in maddening, disorganising streaks of colour.
Reflection on the Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower reflected in the pond at the Jardins du Trocadéro in Paris. I remember reading that police would stop you taking photos of the Eiffel Tower at night with a camera on a tripod but I never experienced that. Do they do that any more?
Boolaboom at the GPO
Boolaboom, a “super-sized brass and percussion big-band” played on Oliver Plunkett Street, in front of the GPO and they were great!
