Waves crash on rocks in a mist
Waves crash on rocks but all you see is a mist in this 4 second long exposure shot. That’s Roches Point Lighthouse in the background, of course, because this photo was taken in Church Bay last year.
Intense Chess
Men of various ages concentrate on their games of chess in the warm air on a December evening in Malaga, Spain. Bonus: Alex Kilbee talks about square format photography on The Photographic Eye. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trumDmvN0r0
Smooth Sailing at Myrtleville
The rough waves of the sea are smoothed out by a long exposure photo as a container ship sits at anchor far off on the horizon. Myrtleville Beach, Cork.
A figure in the mirror
A soon-to-be bus passenger walks to the bus station in Parnell Place, Cork.
An Fear Marbh at Sunset
On a lovely summer’s evening on the Dingle Peninsula I photographed An Fear Marbh, yet again. It’s a picturesque part of the country so you can hardly blame me for taking photos! 🙂 Today I learned that, in English, it’s called Inishtooskert, which is an Anglicised version of the Irish name, “Inis Tuaisceart”, or “Northern…
The Christmas Lights of Malaga
Is it too late to post Christmas photos? The Christmas lights of Malaga are a fabulous sight to see. Spanish people really take celebrating the holidays seriously, with lots of happy faces to be seen everywhere!
The couple in the photo
A couple in a photo, a couple on the street. Malaga.
Conversation and laughter
A moment of laughter caught on camera in Malaga, Spain a few weeks ago. I wonder what they were talking about?
Light trails and Christmas lights
There’s a four lane highway through Malaga but in December and January they have great decorations over the street. The perfect time to take some long exposure shots of passing traffic!
Loading the containers
Loading a container ship in Malaga Harbour. The sun has already set but there’s a lovely glow in the sky! Trying something new this time. You’ll probably have the visit the site to get the full effect. I’ll be uploading these images to Instagram shortly. As before, these images were cut up with the convert…
Malaga after the sun set
If the sky is right, Málaga harbour has some stunning sunsets. The colours of the sky are reflected in the waters of the harbour. The industrial and urban buildings on the far shore make for pleasing silhouettes defined by the setting sun.
Lights in the rain
Rain pours out of the sky and runs along the pavement in this street in Dublin last year. It wasn’t a bad night if you had an umbrella.
