On a beautiful October afternoon in Ballydehob and the last thing I needed to worry about was swans, unlike an unfortunate day in 2004 when they didn’t like me taking their photos.
Crosshaven is such a lovely town. I love to visit there, walking along the water front. The sounds of the wind blowing through the boat yard and the clinking of ropes and tackle hitting off masts is ever present. From a distance the town is picturesque, with the spire of the church towering over everything.
Unfortunately, even here you’ll find signs of derelict Ireland. I walked up the hill by the chipper and looking over the town is a small dilapidated cottage that has seen better days. This photo was taken about a year ago. Has anything been done about it since?
A few more photos of Flash Harry from their September 2021 performance in the Opera House, Cork. They played there recently but I didn’t get to see them. They are a great Queen tribute band however. Go see them if you can!
Posting these because I wanted to test out Topaz Denoise on some high ISO noisy images. It did a fabulous job cleaning them up!
Mike Gray posted some great photos of musicians performing on his Twitter account, and he said he used DXO PureRAW. I was going to try the free trial of that but since I already had Denoise I wanted to give that a proper go at these images. Very happy with it too.
Blarney Castle in pseudo infra red as I don’t have an infra red capable camera but I like the effect. September 2021.
