Flowers on North Mall
The North Mall next to the River Lee in Cork is decorated with beautiful flowers dotted along it’s length. I had to take a few shots of them as I walked back to my car after the Paddy’s Day Parade this year. Note the Franciscan Well in the background. Nice pub! PS. If you use…
No 2 Lisbon
I’ll probably vote Yes the next time the Lisbon Treaty referendum is run. Who cares about democracy when the country’s in the sh*tter? They’ll only make us do it all over again and slap us around a bit first with the IMF if we say no a second time. Shot on the hill leading down…
Attack of the Paddy’s Day Monster
Patty? I’ll give them Patty! A monster descends on a spectator at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Cork this year. I think she was amused! 🙂
Faces on the Door
The doorway of an abandoned cafe on Oliver Plunkett Street. This one is next to The Old Oak and I’m sure I remember it open once, but it always seems to be closed down. Shot during the pre-iba09 photowalk a few weeks ago.
Fresh
Fresh handmade soap in Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork.
Yellow Daffodils Lost in Snow
Yellow daffodils at the end of my road, captured while the snow settled in the grass.
The banks of the Lee
The River Lee runs through Cork City along two channels with an island in the middle. That island is where the City Center is and provides for plenty of opportunities shooting the river 🙂 Shot during the pre-iba09 photowalk ages ago.
Steaming Funky Sexy
Paddy Casey plays Cyprus Avenue on May 2nd.
I got wood
Firewood chopped up and ready for burning piled up. Lots of wood.
09-C-1
The Lord Mayor’s car, a top of the range Ford. Despite the fact that Ford have a much reduced presence in Cork these days the Lord Mayor continues to make use of a Ford automobile. Always the first car registered in the year too.
The 13th Boy
Spectators at the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Cork this year.
Knott’s Badges
Will Knott has a fine collection of badges on his bag. Shot at the pre-iba09 photowalk a few weeks ago.
