Street Musicians on Patrick Street

You’re more likely to see a street preacher or the guy with the “global harming” sign near this spot on St. Patrick’s Street, Cork. Back in 2004 we were treated to some guitar and banjo playing.

Aerfort Chorcai

“Corcaigh”. Ainm an aerfort ar barr an foirgneamh i Mí Nollaig 2004.

The old airport building was closed in 2006. I left from that building and returned to the new building. Oddly enough my photo archive shows I wasn’t away on the 15th August 2006 so they obviously didn’t start using the new building straight away.

Eleven Years Apart

Eleven Years Apart

The photos above were shot eleven years apart. The first was shot in 2004 while the second was shot only a few weeks ago in early February, 2015. You may recognise the man. He sells newspapers in the St. Augustine’s Church, on the corner of Washington Street and Grand Parade. I presented him with a print of both photos and I think he was quite taken with them. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name while I talked with him as a customer came along but I’ll ask him next time!

Daisies in the grass

This is really looking back into the archives. I shot this in 2004, probably with the Sony 717 and at a guess probably in the park near the Gun Powder Mills in Ballincollig. Long time ago. Lovely day!
