Clearing The Storm Debris

Back in October 2017, storms blew several trees down on to the Waterloo Road. Within a few hours work crews had started work on clearing the area. Oddly enough they waited to do the major work until Eoghan Murphy, a minister in the government, arrived to observe.

It was enlightening to see them start working on the wood chipper and start up their machinery when they received news that Mr Murphy was nearby. I guess that’s how politics works. They have to be “seen” to be doing something.

Watching People Whale Watching

In Tenerife we went on a whale and dolphin tour. While we saw a few those animals, my photos of their backs and fins breaking the water aren’t the most exciting. Here’s another group who were doing the same.

Birmingham Visitor Information

Information for visitors in Birmingham, in the middle of the Bull Ring!

It wasn’t raining. It was a hot day with the sun beating down. Why don’t more people carry umbrellas in conditions like this? Arguably, getting skin cancer is a lot worse than getting an occasional wetting by rain.
