A car drove towards me a few nights ago while I was playing around with an 8 star filter on my camera. Most of the time it’s totally overdone, but I liked how this came, especially as the headlights are reflected in the bus shelter.

Kennedy Quay this morning as the sun rose, with R&H Hall in the centre of the image, as this skyline will disappear in the next few months.
Note: the sky has been replaced. It was a very dull, overcast day. Hopefully, this is more pleasing to the eye. The old R&H Hall building has not been replaced, yet.

The R&H Hall building looms over Kennedy Quay as seen from Michael Collins Bridge today. It’s going to be demolished this year, so if you want to record “what once was” on the site, get down there soonest!

The front of the casino on Winthrop Street is coloured an unusually calming sky-blue or cyan colour. Not the type of colour I’d expect somewhere that wants customers to get excited about losing money to use.
Luckily, Deliveroo uses the same colour and a delivery guy just walked past while I was fishing for a photo!

Tourists flock on to the road near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
Admittedly, I was one of them, but I was just walking across the road at the pedestrian lights.

Two of the dogs at the regular rally supporting Gaza that happened in Cork yesterday. Another large crowd gathered, but these dogs weren’t bothered by the noise and people around.

The Jeunesse d’Aristote is a statue made by Charles Degeorge and is currently in the Musée d’Orsay, Paris.
Sometimes, we humans, unintentionally imitate others, even inanimate objects. Or maybe it’s just a comfortable way to sit. Degeorge captured that amazingly well in his work here.

Four soldiers climb the steps of Montmartre up to the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre on a warm August afternoon. They slowly walked up the steps, without comment or conversation. Walked around the fountains above and up the steps to the Basilica.
It was unnerving, but months later, tourists were being stabbed and violently robbed in Dublin, and I remember people were calling for better security on the streets of the city. Some used Paris as an example and asked why armed soldiers couldn’t patrol the streets.
I think a better way of solving this issue is to make Dublin into a proper living city, with actual local people living in the city, not tourists in an Airbnb. Some chance.
