EI-128 at rest on the beach

Glider EI-128 sitting on the sand at Inch Strand, Co. Kerry in 2006. I’ve posted a few photos of this glider in the past and I can safely say this is the last one unless I happen to see it again!

Guide Me

Guide Me, a boat left high and dry above the beach at Baile Na nGall in Co. Kerry.

Declan from O’Learys Camera World rang this morning. My lens has arrived. I’ll go collect it tomorrow!

The rebel flag in Ballycotton

The Cork County colours fly on the quay at Ballycotton Harbour in Co. Cork in 2006. I’ve been looking at this image for so long I’m almost certain I must have uploaded it but it’s been sitting in my output folder for all this time!

A Rainbow over Cobh

A rainbow brightens up the dark clouds threatening Cobh in Co. Cork in late 2006.

You can see Cobh Cathedral in the background, and I’d swear the boats in the foreground are still there in the same position all these years later ..

Sheep in a Kerry field

Wooah, digging into the archives here. This was shot in September 2006 while on holiday in Dingle. It’s a field on Slea Head at the tip of the Dingle Peninsula.

It’s hard to see in the web version but I love the brooding clouds in the large image!

Reflections of the city

Cork City Hall and the urban lighting on both sides of the River Lee are reflected in the water at night.

I took this back in October 2006 when the Elysian hadn’t reached it’s glorious present day height. I venture to say that a photo of this scene now would feature at least a part of the Elysian buildings blocking the sky in the top right of the photo.

Conor Pass Hills and Clouds

This image broke my heart. I spent a long time trying to get the darkened sky layer and the brightened ground layer to merge nicely but I’m still not happy with it.

This small web version looks almost ok but I can still see the offending bits that are wrong.

Little girl goes shopping

A young girl on Patrick’s Street pushes her buggy with her mothercare bag. See the face she’s making? She means business!

Three’s a crowd

Some of the swans at the Lough a few weeks ago during the photo walk. Got a few more shots from that session to post!

Sunshine on the Conor Pass

This will probably be the final photo from that September 2006 visit to the Conor Pass. It’s taken earlier than some of the others but I’m a sucker for leading lines so it had to go in!
I love the reflection in the water on the valley floor, and the shadows of the clouds.

Must make a trip back there this summer!
