  • Queuing for Gorbys

    A bunch of lads queuing for Gorbys on Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork in 2007. Nightclubs are due to open soon again. 2,399 new cases of Covid-19 today. Even with vaccination I think we can expect a huge surge in about two weeks. I’ll be glad if I’m wrong.

    The oldest bridge in Ireland is claimed to be this bridge built by St. Patrick in the 6th century. It’s on the grounds of Moville Boutique Hostel in Co. Donegal. I say “claimed” because there are others such as the Esker Bridge in Dublin and this one in Trim. Who knows? The hostel is lovely…

    If you’ve ever been to Kinsale and looked across the water at the houses on the waterfront this tree sits in the garden in front of one. I stood just outside their driveway and caught a lovely sunset behind it one lovely July day 2019. Yes, there is a bird in the photo too.
