  1. Right then, Donncha. You’ll want to know what these are. I think they’re probably black headed gulls. Before you tell me they don’t have black heads, you’re quite right. Their black headed plumage is their breeding one and, in fact, their heads are chocolate brown, not black. So they’re misnamed.
