Óbidos is a walled town north of Lisbon, all cobbled lanes and whitewashed walls. I spotted a street cleaner stopped for a moment waiting for her colleague to come down the road. I’d guess the straw hat over her headscarf is her own and on a street with no shade it was needed.
They do a great job. The streets were tidy and clean.
