Bachelor’s Quay at Twilight

·

Blue hour is that magical window between sunset and full darkness when the sky becomes this gorgeous gradient from deep blue to warm orange. That’s what I saw on a cold December evening looking across the River Lee at Bachelor’s Quay.

@donncha you say it’s Cork?! i see Amsterdam. Never been to Cork but I saw many pictures.. but never such beautiful river/canal perspective connected to city’s landscape

@hollowone yeah. The city centre is on an island and the river splits in two! This is the north branch. It was just a marsh many hundreds of years ago but they claimed back bits of land and covered over tributaries..

@donncha very nice. I have been to Dublin and north but never in Cork actually. That reminds me that I need to revisit and get south, west this time!
