I loved this show while it was broadcast and I even have the multi-CD compilation that came out a couple of years ago too.
Technology is ever changing. I don’t think I’ve recorded anything off the radio in years and the last time I did, I used the station’s Internet broadcast piped into mencoder to save it on my computer. No more cassettes.
Hands up those who have never used a cassette like this? I bet that number will grow and grow as the years go by…

I came across your website while doing some research and saw this picture. I remember too well recording hours of radio, just before cds came out.
My son is 7 and will never know the joy of “illegally” downloading music from the radio! Then again, I suppose my father would say I never knew the joy in buying a record!
great collection of pics
