40th birthday party

October 1st, 2006 by Donncha

Last night after attending BarCamp I went to a surprise with Jacinta. It was a blast, great fun and I was able to have a few drinks because I wasn’t driving! (Thanks Sheila for taking care of that!)

There are lots more from the night but they’re going up somewhere private for the girl and any of our friends who want to view them. Happy Bobbi!

I just loved the way the shadows fell on the blind behind the hanging decorations. This is a bit of an experiment for me because I added a thick black border around the image. Do you like it?

I think the border looks great.

I’m not usually a fan of borders, I think they’re way over-used, but it work’s in this instance. I love the 40 made out of film too, neat idea! :)

Donncha - Myself (Dermot) and Liz were at Bobbi’s party in Joanna’s house, and we met you there. Just came across your blog by pure chance! Great shot, by the way, and the dark border works well. Any chance you could send me the link to the other birthday shots? Thanks a lot.
