Your future: wear a beard

Important decisions in life. What job will I do in the future and should I wear a beard? I’ve got the job bit covered, but would I look better with a beard? I think there’d be trouble if I tried growing one! :)

The wearbeard sticker really caught my eye. It’s just weird to create a site about that but it takes all sorts I guess.

O-kay….a website about wearing beards is just plain weird :) but that’s a lovely witty shot!

I actually e-mailed the guy who set up the site – I grew a beard for Lent (giving up booze is easier!!)

He said he was trying to confront the concept of what was handsome/beautiful in our society and this was a good experiment at it. My own experience with the experiment was that my wife kept moaning (on and on about the beard!), I looked like a cross between Jesus and a wino and the kids got a fright when I shaved it off. – and I’m going grey on the chin!

Well done Richard! I’d be in trouble with my wife if I tried to grow a beard. Possibly on a par with any idea that I’d like to try golf.

Neither is likely though, face gets too itchy after a few days, and golf? Yawn!

I belive it is a question of time when beards are populare. In earlier times it was normal to have a beard -maybe also because of lack of shaving instruments. I think romans or greek startet to shave their beards. Later it was a sign of well to do. Today it is a sign of individuality. So it is up to you if you want one or not.
