Tourists outside Windsor Castle

Tourists gathered outside the gates of Windsor Castle photograph each other smiling and posing for holiday photos. We parked outside the town, grabbed a bus up the road and walked around a bit. Unfortunately the castle itself was closed.

The town of Windsor is definitely worth a visit. It’s a huge tourist attraction though so better to visit during the week when the place is thronged with visitors.

Didn’t go there, we had about 2 hours in the town and spent it walking about and wandering around the train station. Lovely cafe next to the castle where we had a cup of tea, and I had a chocolate fudge cake. Was reasonable too which surprised me for a tourist town!
