a lot of good arguments in the flickr help forums today by people against the yahoo ids - unfortunately there is a lot of, to put it politely, fools in there who seem to forget that flickr has been owned by yahoo for 18ish months. i spent an hour today replying to some of the comments in there - in the end i just gave up. i merged my flickr and yahoo accounts back in 8.2005 and ive never had any issues whatsoever (with the exception of the now resolved mobile site log in issues).

i would love to go through the old threads from when yahoo took over flickr - causing "lots" of people to declare that they would delete their accounts. wondering how many of them are still on flickr - and how many of the people talking now will still be in flickr over the coming months.

also, at the moment the main thread has 750 replies - not too bad considering there is 6million ish members. the fuss will pass, like all the previous fusses on flickr.
