Well spotted.
So where do all the helium balloons end up when they float off like that?

Jeez is nobody going to mention Pink Floyd? :) btw the "cool" in my comment above was a "cool, looks very nice" as opposed to a "cool, a balloon in the sky".

Hi Folks, first time commenting!

Its a nice and simple photo....Just brings back memories of me letting go of a balloon as a child and then screaming my face off because I lost it. "noooooooo!"

My cast iron stomach meant that all I got was a bag full of sick and dirty towels. Still I learned that 'flying dolphin' and 'feeling horribly sick' were not mutually exclusive concepts.

The ironic thing was that we took the flying dolphin because it was 'quicker'. - mainly quicker to get sick on!

As I said before, the image and the title are great.

Richard - you didn't suffer at all? This photo must bring back some unpleasant memories :)

I hate long ferry journeys. Took the ferry to France in 2nd year as an exchange student many years ago and did not have a pleasant time with the heaving seas...

The flying dolphin is the name of a hydrofoil ferry company that operates in the Aegean sea around the Greek Cyclades islands. In 1996 I had the misfortune to drink all night on one island with my wife (then girlfriend) and then suffer a choppy ride on a flying dolphin to the next island - all our towels and a few plastic bags were used by my wife who suffered 'some nausea' and saved her liver having to deal with the large vodkas from the previous night.

Your flying dolphin is much nicer!
