Robert - yes, I've never seen anything like the Irish terminal at Heathrow! My little boy, Adam, was fascinated by them. We stopped at the shop just before security for some junk food and he kept pointing down the last tunnel and motioning for us to hurry up!

We spotted Paul Weller and his band near Gate 80. Almost all of them were wearing sunglasses. Is there something about popstars that they have to wear them, even in dimly lit corridors? Attracted more attention because of them. Unfortunately I had the wrong lens on my camera and didn't feel like pestering him for a photo.

Mary - back to work for all of us today then! Hopefully should find time to post a few photos from the trip this week!

So many memories!

Hanging around gates 86 to 88 waiting to depart for home. In a giant corrugated metal tube with no air-conditioning unless you were lucky enough to get access to the Aer Lingus Executive Lounge.

The real fun starts when you arrive in Terminal 1 and have to make it to Terminal 4 in 40 minutes or less.

I could never figure out why upon arriving in T1 you get a train to T4 but upon arriving at T4 you have to get a bus to T1.
