Here we are once again, blogging live from WordCamp 2007 in San Francisco. There’s Matt setting up the projector screen, Barry sorting through some notes and Michael Adams in the baseball cap. Check out my WordCamp 2007 set on Flickr for more photos from the weekend.

Bloggable Flickr Slideshow

Here’s a neat way of embedding Flickr’s slideshow feature in your own blog. flickrSLiDR asks you for a set in your Flickr stream and then gives you some html code to paste into your blog post.

He’s cheating a small bit though. He’s using Flickr’s own slideshow application and simply passing the right parameters to it. Take a look at the code at the end of this post to see for yourself!

Here’s a slideshow of my WordCamp 2006 photos. I’m looking forward to the next one in SF in July!

Oops. And just after publishing this post I realise that it’s a bad thing to post a Flash application that loads lots of photos so you have to click into this post to see the slideshows. They won’t show when in archive mode. Phew.

Using the same iframe format here’s a slideshow of my street photos. I simply copy/pasted the url into the iframe tag to get it to work!

It’s by no means a perfect way of embedding a slideshow in your blog post but it could be a good addition to a post about an event where there are lots of photos. Flickr’s powerful tagging system means you can even view a slideshow of all street photos on the site, not just mine! (via lifehacker)

Edit – the Flickrvision 3d map of the world is very impressive. The globe scrolls about and displays newly uploaded images to Flickr. Requires Flash 9 however.

Pier 38, San Francisco

Pier 38 is where True Ventures have their San Francisco office. It was the location of a great post-WordCamp party last August. It was such a beautiful night I had to take a shot of the moon and lights reflecting in the water.

California, San Francisco CA

California, a street in San Francisco near where we were staying last August.
This was taken after a great lunch in a nearby restaurant with some of the WordPress guys in a Burmese restaurant – Mark Jaquith, Markr (the support guy formally known as Podz), Andy and of course Matt. Excellent food and company.

I like this: Aaah! les galettes… – almost a painting. Great art.

Nice – in Couple Dancing, Cory Parris does a great job on a first dance shot.
