4 November 2009 - Watch out! Duck! I said, “duck!”
Geese at The Lough feeding on the ground near the water’s edge. Most have their heads down pecking at scraps but one stubbornly kept a look out ..
6 August 2009 - Church of the Immaculate Conception
The parish church in The Lough, Cork. Shot during a photowalk in March 2008.
10 June 2009 - Blue Doors
Old blue doors near the Lough in Cork City. Shot on our photowalk there last year.
There are still places left in the World Wide Photowalk here in Cork. If you’re around on July 18th, sign up and join us!
12 April 2009 - Heron Landing
Heron coming in to land on the Lough, Cork.
I’d love to have a big huge high quality zoom lens.
5 October 2008 - Carvery Lunch
Carvery Lunch, the fast food of “proper food” IMO. Many will be going to pubs today for their Sunday lunch and it’ll be carvery on offer. Nothing wrong with it of course, but some people are snobs about eating out and want food delivered to their table. Considering the price of carvery food, I can see their point. It’s generally the same price as food in a restaurant, so why not eat somewhere else?
27 March 2008 - The Lough DaffodilsWe walked around The Lough and wandered over to the daffodils growing by the footpath at one of the lake. That’s Sean Murphy in the background as he preps some of his equipment to take a shot.
Probably my last photo from the Lough Photowalk!
26 March 2008 - Swans on The LoughSwans swim past on The Lough in Cork City. This was one of the first photos I took at the recent photowalk there. Despite the clear blue sky and lovely light it was quite cold with a biting wind!
25 March 2008 - Three’s a crowdSome of the swans at the Lough a few weeks ago during the photo walk. Got a few more shots from that session to post!
16 March 2008 - Church FlowersFlowers outside The Lough Parish Church, “Church of the Immaculate Conception”.
You can read more about the church and mass times at the The Lough Parish page on the Diocese website.
15 March 2008 - Heads up at the LoughThis was shot from a precarious position. I jumped up on one of the concrete posts dotted around the pond and very carefully snapped a couple of shots. I just about managed to balance there for a few minutes! See the two black swans everyone else was shooting?
From left to right: Donal, Ryan, Kevin, Katie and Sean spotted me and started shooting the biggest birdbrain there ..
