Girls dressed in white

Girls dressed in white Mommy and daughter are dressed all in white as they hurry around town shopping. Taken on Patrick’s Street while I tried to dodge the previously mentioned hurrying mother and another shopper who had just been in to Awear.

Shoe Shopping

Shoe Shopping Off to the shops? Looks like these ladies, young and slightly older, have been busy already in “Shoe Zone” and other stores doing some shoe shopping. Mum looks a bit stressed, but daughter is off in her own world and probably enjoying the day! This image was taken moments before I shot The […]

Boy all alone on the street

Boy all alone It’s strange how you can be stuck in your own little world and not be aware of anything around you. All around this boy were couples, either hand in hand, walking together or even framing him in the middle of the image, but I’m struck by his solitary movement through the street. […]

The lady’s red boots

The lady’s red boots Sometimes on a cloudy and dark day something unexpected can brighten your day. These sexy red boots had that effect and I quickly grabbed this shot! I can’t imagine the pain of walking in shoes with such high heels however. *shudder*

A child’s smile

A child’s smile A smile brightens up anyone’s day. When it’s a child smiling it’s extra special. This was shot on St. Patrick’s Bridge, Cork just after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17th. The crowds opened up for a few seconds and I briefly saw father and son.

Care and attention

Care and attention It was February. The sun was trying to shine but it was a little nippy out. You need to wrap up against the cold breeze! Man and daughter or maybe granddaughter pictured on Patrick’s Street in Cork.

What’s in the bag?

What’s in the bag? A young lady checked her bag just outside Paul Street Shopping Centre in Cork. Wide angle lens makes for weird contortions but I like it!

2 bikes in Daunt Square

2 bikes in Daunt Square His and hers bikes locked up against a pole in Daunt Square, Cork last February. Looking at this with fresh eyes, I was lucky to catch the people behind the bikes without at least one of them standing behind the pole! I love the expressions of the two girls closest […]

Tired of shopping

Tired of shopping Sometimes you just want to move to the side and let life pass you by. Don’t forget to jump on again! Image made on Paul Street, next door to Bully’s Restaurant in Cork.

Wow! A super hero!

Wow! A super hero! This is for all the fans of Marvel and DC Comics publications! Super heroes do exist. They live in Cork, and hand out leaflets on Patrick’s Street in front of Dunnes Stores!

MAAS lighting up the street

MAAS lighting up the street A close up of the MAAS logo on one of the street lights on Oliver Plunkett Street.

Construction on the Grand Parade

Construction on the Grand Parade Pictured several months ago in February, pedestrians were blocked off from the construction work by high fences but not high enough to stop someone sticking a camera over the top. This is one of the construction vehicles. Looks like a mix of a forklift and a crane doesn’t it?

The happy child

The happy child It is wonderful to see a child smile and laugh and this little fella certainly was cheerful! Three buggies in one shot, tell me there isn’t an explosion in births in Ireland! This was shot on Patrick’s Street, right in front of Boots. There’s someone eating in Abrakebabra in the background! I […]

The hat and the smoke

The hat and the smoke I made this image of the guy in the hat on Patrick’s Street last February and I knew I had a great street shot. I have no idea what those people in the car are doing but they left shortly after. Link love: Donal has a great portrait of some […]

Pedestrians this way

Pedestrians this way Walking through a building site can be a hazardous task, especially when it’s one of the main streets of a city. Thankfully there are signs to lead the way through the maze of construction equipment, pot holes, broken paving and pipes. And then you get to the construction site. Image made in […]
