The evolution of back pain

The evolution of back pain

A small poster advertises a survey on back pain. It’s a 3 year programme and since this was taken in 2007 it’s nearing completion now!

Taken somewhere in San Francisco.

A bright and colourful poster advertises Piper’s Funfair in Crosshaven!

In other news, this blog is a finalist in the Irish Blog Awards on Saturday next in the Cork International Airport Hotel. Here are all the finalists. I’m honoured to make it this far as some amazing photoblogs were nominated.

Best Photo Blog – Sponsored by

Thank you for sponsoring the photoblog competition!

PS. Red Mum is organising a photowalk in Cork to coincide with the Blog Awards. Kick off is at noon in the city somewhere. No venue decided yet but perhaps we should meet in a pub? The Old Oak anyone?

Cheap Sunday Excursions

cheap sunday excursions

A replica poster in Cobh Heritage Center advertises Cheap Sunday Excursions to Youghal on Sundays from 4th June 1933. Great Southern Railways are long gone now.

The Heritage Center is a nice place to stop and grab a bite to eat. Can’t remember prices but there’s plenty of room for a buggy so I was more than happy.
Plenty of “ye aulde” stuff to photograph too!

PS. If you’re in Dublin this weekend, make sure you bring your camera and join the other photographers who are meeting for a photowalk! More details on Red Mum’s post and Claire linked to some of the photobloggers going. Should be fun!

I’m hoping to organise a photowalk in Doneraile Park next month. Any weekends in particular suit? The Park is a lovely scenic area. It may be busy in the summer but if you don’t like shooting scenery and nature this photowalk probably won’t be for you.

Special K Diet

“Shape up your day” with the Special K diet according to Kelloggs.

Your shape. Your way. With Kelloggs Special K of course. That stuff is full of salt isn’t it? Having said that, I do love a bowl of Frosties. Never lasts long in the house. Good thing I haven’t bought a packet in years!

‘Course, I could just be talking about Ketamine too. :)
