Lonely Boat in Fountainstown

lonely boat in fountainstown

A boat sits alone on the hard ground while it’s brethren bob up and down in the tide around Fountainstown in Co Cork.

This presented me with a bit of a dilemma. I originally cropped the sky out because it was washed out but after careful work with the RAW image I restored detail to that area of the photo. Now I’m torn between this and the cropped version but I think this one wins out. The clouds have a sense of motion that contrasts with the rest of the image in a way I find very pleasing.

I’m thinking about this too much.

Towering over the Little People

towering over the little people

Wherever you look on the north side of Cork City you’re bound to see a massive tower bristling with antennas. It’s an Eircom building AFAIK but I’ve never stopped outside it to look so it could be the secret offices of PROC for all I know! :)

Shot from Shandon Bells last Saturday.

Mini & the pussy

mini pussy

An (ancient?) Mini, one of the older British design, not the new fangled BMW ones that are as big as a Yaris, and of course a pussy cat watching me carefully.

This was shot near Shandon Bells after we braved the heights of the tower to shoot the City of Cork. Now take your minds out of the gutter. :)

I really must upload some of that day’s shoots to Pixie!

Yellow Pipes

yellow pipes

When you’re stuck for time state the obvious. Yellow piping found on a back road beyond Crosshaven in Co Cork 9 days ago. That pink bike at the end of the frame was a nice bonus. Hadn’t noticed that when I took the photo!

Pancakes have been cooked, flipped and eaten by all and we’re heading out to see that Barcelona film that I can’t remember the name of in the Kino in Cork. Babysitter is here, Adam is tucked up in bed, time to run out the door.
