C386, a fishing boat in Kinsale, photographed just over a year ago.
16 May 2009 - Netting and Wheel
Fishing tackle, lobster pots, nets and a wheel lie on the quay in Bantry Harbour, County Cork.
13 October 2008 - The chains of fishing
Chains on a quayside in Schull, near where yesterday’s shot was taken, I think.
I’m in Colorado, at 9,00ft. The air is noticeably thinner here. Won’t be any running about or physical exercise for a few days!
12 October 2008 - Fishing rope and tackle
Fishing tackle in Co Cork somewhere. Can’t remember where now! Love the texture of this sort of equipment, especially in black and white.
12 June 2008 - Discarded fishing tackle
Fishing tackle, nets, and even a gas cylinder rest against a wall near Allihies Beach in West Cork.
I saw all this stuff just sitting there, looking all out of place in a field.

29 April 2008 - Boats and fishing tackle
Boats and lobster pots (I presume?) lie on the quay in Bantry. This area is a must see for photographers. There are so many things to see you could spend hours there just snapping away!
8 February 2008 - Ballycotton Fishing BoatsFishing boats crowd the harbour in Ballycotton on a warm August afternoon.
This was taken in 2006, when I think I shot the rest of my Ballycotton images. I love the imposing clouds and the leading lines of the bows.
16 February 2007 - I lost my headAll that remains from a fishing trip to Cobh.
I discovered this fish’s head while walking about on the pier in Cobh during the month of August last year. At that time of year the mackerel
chase the sprat into Cork Harbour and provide a bountiful catch for local fishermen. Many years ago I remember casting into the waters off Church Bay and reeling in at least 4 fish, the feeding frenzy was so great!
