Pebbles on the Beach
Another shot from our trip to Youghal. I’m always looking up, down and everywhere!

Ruby, a Springer Spaniel we met last year in Bunnyconnellan, is still down in Myrtleville! Her owner must be living down there somewhere. We threw a stick for her a few times and then walked over to Fennell’s Bay and she followed us with her tail wagging!
It was a pleasure walking with her only spoilt by the idiot teenage girl who threw stones at us from high ground. She and her group of friends didn’t hang around when they saw us returning back towards them. Very brave.
Glance down and you may notice a whole new world at your feet
Green seaweed grows on stumps of wood on the beach at Youghal. I can only guess that these stumps are a protection against the powerful force of the tides. Aren’t they?
Check out the Youghal category for another shot of this beach!
Last weekend we visited Youghal in Co. Cork. I haven’t been on the beach there for years and I had quite forgotten how big it is! It was nice for a walk, but we were frozen from the cold wind.
I was just in town. Big Brother were supposed to hold auditions from 9am on the Grand Parade but there was no sign of them. Still, I used the opportunity to buy flowers and they went down very well with Jacinta! ![]()
Sunset over Garretstown last year.
A beached whale on Garretstown Beach last November.
A notice which is being read by the man in the foreground reads that this is a female long finned pilot whale and asks that people do not remove or bury it as it is required by researchers.
I was reluctant to post this picture in the past 2 months but after what happened in London when a whale died it spurred me to find this photo again.
This was taken on the same night as this photo and this one.
Down in Oysterhaven of course!
A beautiful sunset moments before the red sky pictured earlier!
