The Sheila and her sister ship (boat) the Aghada are often used as mooring boats at the Conoco refinery in Whitegate. That is, they help the larger tugs guide big oil tankers into the jetty safely by providing extra pairs of eyes aft and stern so that the tanker doesn't hit the jetty and damage the oil pipes - which could cause major pollution and be very expensive. I'm not sure who owns the two boats but I suspect it may be Marine Transport Services who also operate the harbour tours. Hi Donncha.
