The 15th annual H.O.G. Rally took place this weekend in Killarney, Co. Kerry. 10,000 Harley Davidson riders were expected. For the last few days I've seen Harley's around Cork sporting flags from all over Europe.

Here are two of them on their way back, pictured in Blarney!

Brilliant shot, but you can tell the guy on the left is so not a full time biker,he'll be back in the office first thing tomorrow morning! :D
I'd have love to have been there though! :)
Nice Bikes
Love to have one
They were awfully nice, and really enjoying their trip to Kerry. I suppose everyone has to earn a living eh?
FT: Super wide angle bikers!

The road is ours.
i like their license plates. bikers in america aren't so fond of being photographed, at least real ones.

No helmuts?

Judwal - thanks for your concern but don't worry, their wives/partners were holding the helmets for them. At no time did either driver lift both legs off the ground they were going so slow and moved so little!
Really great shot! Very amusing, Id say this pair were a right laugh though!
Saw over a hundred on my drive from Tralee to Cork on Saturday, and what surprised me the most was how careful everyone was on the road, not one speeder in sight!! (although if you were speeding on a HOG you would not really be 'in sight' either I guess).
Very sad to hear that this was not the case all over the county though, as two bikers lost there lives between Castleisland and Abbeyfeale on Saturday.
Click Click, most of the bikers I know treat their bikes as their babies & in particular the Harley owners. Due to the state of Irish roads Harley's need a lot of upkeep so they need a lot of "babying!" :D This is why its very rare to see anyone actually abusing one.
With regards to the crash it seems the car came across & hit their friends in a car in front of them before actually hitting the 2 bikes. It is said to be one of the worst crashes in a long time as the bikes were hit with such force they actually exploded!
This is the main reason I won't get a bike again, because a lot of car drivers for some reason don't actually see bikers. After crashes they say the bikers were speeding (I've had first hand experience of this as has quit a few friends & family) when they actually weren't! My brother & his fiancee went over the bonnet of a car because he drove straight out in front of them. The guy swore blind that my brother didn't have his lights on & he couldn't see him. However when the gardai came my brother was in the back of an ambulance, still with his Sam Browne reflective belt on & the light switch was still in the on position. Thankfully my brother was ok though,he just broke his leg,arm & badly injured his back.
Yeah Michelle, you are right. I didn't mean to imply that it was the bikers, I also heard about the cars colliding first. I agree with you also that the bikers I know are very passionate about their bikes are extremely careful with them. I find bikers also make better car drivers than non-bikers as they are truly aware of everything on the road. However as with car driver, there are also bikers who are the exception to this rule and I saw alot of these over the weekend also. Either way one cannot generalise.

Very glad to hear your brother was ok, sounds like a terrible ordeal.
