I know what you mean. I tried that but it was too narrow for my liking. I wanted to add some negative space in the form of the wall to draw the eye to the people.
This was a snapshot taken while walking past!
Sorry, I didn't mean to use the "snapshot" as an excuse.
It was shot from the hip and there's a raised leg just out of shot to the right so I was limited by how much I could crop!
Thanks for the comment, you always make me think about how I present a photo :)
It's my pleasure Donncha. I'm enjoying your photos too. Photoblogging is not just upload the photo into our blog but doing other things like 'photoblog:walking, lurking, learning, commenting, etc. It's a hollistic process and I like that :)
I reduced the overall saturation of the image, and upped that of the red channel. I only learnt of that trick a few weeks ago and was very happy with the result, thanks for noticing!
aww, you think they're sad?
i think they're just in a moment of silence. suspended in time, waiting. peaceful, even.
I think they're happy & lucky. there's a boy who has a father that loves him enough to hold his hand, not just when they're crossing the street. and vice versa.
