With the new technology of Epos systems, which do nearly everything except make a cup of tea, the retail trader has never had it so good. Debit cards are the new way to carry money, more efficient to the retailer and to the customer, when the customer pays with a debit card they are given a receipt for their transaction, which gives every detail of that transaction. The receipt which they are given is most cases will be thermal (heat sensitive) paper. Thermal paper is cleaner than your standard ink, produces a crisper resolution, and is ultimately cheaper. Though thermal paper used to be considerably more expensive, the price has come down in recent years, thanks in part to better technology that allows its manufacturers to produce it at a more reasonable cost. Moreover, a thermal paper roll is quieter than bond paper, which is an added bonus for any shopper at the end of a long day. A wide variety of color combinations are available by using different colored rolls of paper. Choose from various color printing on white paper, or black printing on a various colored papers. Standard paper is even available in fluorescent yellow. There's one customer we've got and I can only imagine they are over 80 - never asked as we are mail order company - but amazingly he types out his cheques with a wobbly typewriter.
