And to round off the day, Adam was way over stimulated all day. He even got to crawl through grass for the first time and zoomed up and down my sister in law's front garden several times.

When I tried to put him to bed he moaned and gave out and we picked him up, put him back down, he screamed the house down, we picked him up (after several minutes, hoping he'd tire himself out), cradled him, gave him teethex just in case it was teething, put him down, listened to bawling and waling, took him downstairs again, completely awake, over tired, sat on my lap at 10:20pm, 2 hours after he normally falls fast asleep and I decide the only way to calm him down is in the car so I drive half way to Mallow and he falls asleep.

Back home, he hardly stirred when I lifted him from the car, his angelic face a picture of calm and serenity. He's asleep now. His parents are completely stressed out. I don't think I'll make the 9am start of the Cork City Marathon tomorrow. I wonder if he'll wake at 6am like he normally does?

I remember those early mornings.. Once Elly could read she was happy to stay in bed. Now I often waken at 4.30 am and find it impossible to go back to sleep.

I like the bird.

Tom - doesn't seem to matter unfortunately, and he woke after only an hour's nap. It's going to be a slow day for me.

Jeff - that's rough! Hope you get a good morning's sleep!

Well, as I write this, it's 5:20 AM and I just got off work. So I have yet to experience the time of 5:52 am Sunday Morning. However, I believe I am going to check email and head off to bed. Awesome photo by the way.

Great photo Donncha,

I'll say it again though. Blackout blinds are a Godsend and can give you up to an extra hour on summer mornings!
