It's much harder to photograph people when there's nobody around because they'll notice you but as this was just after the parade there were loads of people milling about. I also used a zoom this time so I was nowhere near her :) When I have a wide angle lens I'll generally shoot from the hip. The Sigma 10-20 is so wide I have to be practically in front of the person before taking their photo, but luckily the noise of the traffic covers the sound of the shutter. On this day it was easy because of the crowd.
