I like photographs with buildings under construction on it, they have something special, but I don't like the loud noize in real life. That's nasty, so that you can't really relax. But I have to say, that this is a wonderful photograph by all its aspects.

Foundations:
Sheet piled coffer dams and steel piles

tracked cranes - construction awakens the inner caveman in everybody.

I was driving past a paving machine (a bitelli) last night and I opened the window to allow my 6 year old to smell the (carcinogenic) bitumen,,,,,,,,,like napalm in the morning!

Beautiful. Reminds you of the 20ies. It's the light-dark chiaroscuro likeness, but also something to do with those cranes.
