<p>The Star of David, Dollar signs, the Masonic eye, Christian Cross and a symbol I (and Google Goggles) don&#8217;t recognise. All on a sticker in the Church of Hallgrimur, Reykjavik, Iceland. In the church tower there&#8217;s a door leading from the observation area into the warmth inside. This sticker is over that door.<br />
Stranger yet are the pawns on the half-circle of the world, with a cross and four dots. </p>
<p>It&#8217;s either some kids having fun trolling the local Church, or an elaborate conspiracy. Tin foil hat time!</p>

<p>Mannix and Culhane on Washington Street occupies a low single storey building on the corner with North Main Street. Did they lose the top floors of their building a few years ago? I remember a girl was killed just up the road when falling masonry from a neighbouring building fell on her.<br />
I have a vague recollection that this building was found to be similarly weak but maybe I&#8217;m making it all up in my head.</p>

<p>The old Dunnes Stores building on Patrick&#8217;s Street in Cork is keeping it&#8217;s old style and attractive front facade. Phew. I still think it&#8217;s odd how a building site juts out behind it though.</p>
<p>PS. The <a href="http://awards.ie/blogawards/nominations/">nominations form</a> for the Irish Blog Awards is now open. If you feel it deserves it, I&#8217;d be very grateful if you would nominate this blog in the &#8220;Best Photoblog&#8221; section. Like last year, I&#8217;m not going to stick a huge &#8220;vote for me&#8221; link on the blog and this is the only mention of the awards I&#8217;ll make.</p>
