Christmas decorations on high

Thursday, January 10th, 2008 by Donncha

on Paul , a few days before Day last year.

Hand held, and I hoped to get a “normal” straight shot but it’s hard to crouch down while wearing a jacket and pushing a buggy so it’s lopsided. I prefer it that way!
Conversion to b/w I think brings out the descending pattern of the along the although the original image wasn’t that saturated with colour to begin with.

A or large rubbish bin is manoeuvred into place on a building site off Paul , .

Those tall cranes are practically a part of city life now …

Paul Street by night

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007 by Donncha

In front of Tesco on Paul , by . This is a show I made by putting my camera on the ground and leaning the lens on my wallet.

Judging by the lighting it was probably a small aperture too. Love that effect!

Cute little dog

Sunday, July 22nd, 2007 by Donncha

A King Charles Spaniel with his owner in Paul , a few months ago. I don’t like seeing in the city because it’s so stressful for them but it was really quiet. Little fella looks worried though doesn’t he?

The Collins Bookshop

Saturday, April 28th, 2007 by Donncha

If you walk past this area now, the Amacas Restaurant is in this building on Paul , . At the time the building was empty, having been vacated by the Gingerbread House a few weeks previously.
This sign is now gone too, but Collins Bookshop on Carey’s Lane is still there, I think. There’s a fancy glass partition in front of the building now where smokers can sup their coffee and eat their food. A far cry from the previous occupant’s dining arrangements.

I’m a sucker for old and weather beaten , furniture and general rusted implements so I had to get a shot of this while walking past.

Innovative Streets

Friday, March 2nd, 2007 by Donncha

It’s good to look down sometimes. I think this was used to hold a decorative safety pole but I don’t remember ever seeing it used. There are poles on the other side of this narrow however.

The of course is Paul Street behind Waterstones.

I was going to blog that yesterday was World Book Day but time ran out for me and the power cut didn’t help my motivation much. Nevertheless, Cearta.ie blogged it. Check out some of my photos from last year’s World Book Day celebration!

A small walks mournfully into the center on Paul clutching her “BT Kids” , probably handed to her by this lady.
