The Love Hate Tattoo Crowd

Love Hate Tattoo

A new “Love Hate Social Club tattoo shop” opened in Cork today with a bang, or at least a party. There was a big crowd outside from 6pm on waiting to get in and join the party.

I hadn’t a notion what was going on, and still don’t except it has something to do with a reality tv show called Miami Ink. Must have a few fans in Cork, or maybe they knew there was free booze? ๐Ÿ˜‰

In the Sultan Restaurant, Cork

Taoufik and brothers in the Sultan Restaurant

The Sultan Restaurant recently reopened after extensive renovations but I’ve had this photo ready to upload for some time so I thought I should post it sooner rather than later.

This is Taoufik (centre) and his brothers in the restaurant pictured after I ate there earlier this year. Their food is amazing. I have a few photos I took with my phone of our meal but they don’t do the food justice, you’ll just have to take my word for it that eating at the Sultan is an experience you’ll want to repeat!

Taoufik also runs a stall in Blackrock village on Sunday mornings and in Douglas on Saturday (I think). Say hi from me if you see him!

Make sure you check their Facebook page too where they post updates and news.

Blarney Castle in the Evening

Blarney Castle in the Evening

Blarney Castle as seen this evening. The garden’s looking amazing and it’s nice to see the new statues and art over the last few days.

Shot with my Galaxy S4, so apologies for the Jpeg artefacts. It’s a HDR image and it’s really pushing the sensor!

Green Hair on St. Patrick's Day

A girl taking part in this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Blarney had a green wig on. Well, so did lots of people! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yellow Flowers in Fitzgerald Park

Beautiful yellow flowers in Fitzgerald Park are one of the pleasures of the park in the summer. The garden in front of the museum always looks beautiful and well tended.

Blarney Men’s Shed win best St. Patrick’s Day Parade float

Blarney Men's Shed

The Men’s Shed in Blarney constructed this fabulous float for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Blarney yesterday. It was voted the best float of the day by a panel who reviewed the parade.

The cart was made by members of the Shed so, as the announcer in the village said, it may be the newest cart pulled by a horse in the country now.
