A road winds into the hills north of Bantry. Yesterday’s photo of the Bantry hills was taken just up the road from here!
I joined Red Bubble yesterday and sold a photo already, although I think it was Pete who bought it as I emailed him last night about it. Nice selection of presentation methods too. Cool.

This is one of my favourite shots from the weekend in Bantry.
Basically I drove up the back roads out of Bantry town, then came to another town and picked the smallest road out of that place before going up a tiny little boithirin with barely room for my car. Wonderful.

I happened upon the O’Keeffe Lounge and Bar while wandering around Bantry last Sunday morning. Given the name of the establishment I just had to take a shot didn’t I?
Note the “Welcome to the pint depot” quotation?

A daffodil in the garden of a house in the hills north east of Bantry Bay. I drove up there last Saturday morning and stopped when I saw the open gate. Wandering in the driveway I took a few shots of the view and then noticed these daffodils growing.
I prefer the daffodils. The day was too gloomy and the view wasn’t that great.
Dedicated to the memory of the three young men who lost their lives today in nearby Dunboy Castle.

The toilets in Connolly Hall, Cork. This is that ugly ass black building across the river from the City Hall. It looks so out of place where it is, although developers are quickly changing the face of the city to match ..

Wouldn’t it be great if posters sang to you? Christy Moore would sang a ballad about Guinness and a surf board while Lovely Girls would scream and shout.
Meanwhile Shayne Ward would sing something or other. Not sure who he is. He won one of those x-factor things didn’t he?

Hands up now lads. How many of you have waited around while your significant other picked out makeup or browsed the aisles in a department store?
Yeah, me too.
This young fella was collecting the rubbish from the drawers and in contrast to the immaculately done up girls dressed in black he wore torn jeans and a cheap sweater.
PS. Lunar eclipse in 2 hours time. I think I’ll be asleep!

Behind the bar in Luigi Malone’s Restaurant in Cork are 2 large clock faces. The bar goes around in a U shape and the other face is directly behind this one.
They’re very striking, and the first thing anyone notices when they come in the front door. This is the one facing the dining area. In the dark it practically jumps out at you!
