When you leave the wide open area near the harbour in Bantry you come across really steep hills to the east. I happened to walk that way pushing a buggy so I had to stop and catch my breath here before heading on up.
Bantry is much bigger than I thought before and I should get some nice urban shots there the next time I’m down that way!

It could also have been the hill and I wanted a small break from pushing the buggy around too of course.

The house looked like it had been empty for some time and some of the out buildings were in worse repair.
Don’t forget the photowalk on Sunday!

Can you tell yet that I merged a few of my work directories after doing some house keeping work on my photo archive?
Thanks to Niall Kennedy for driving us up there!

I’ve never stayed there but they have a great location, right next to Blarney Castle.

I remember seeing it from near The South Infirmary and this is it seen from the multi storey carpark on the Grand Parade.
Is it up by Barracks Street?
I’m in Arizona for the week. Postings may be late in the evening.

In the background is the Savoy Shopping Center, and of course the building side behind Dunnes is clearly visible in the scaffolding supports to the far left.

This was taken from Carroll’s Quay carpark almost a month ago. I love the old-style quality of the image, even if the shadow of the dish at the bottom detracts from that a bit.
Check out Stabarinde’s Christmas in Cork shots. I’m glad my photos inspire you! There are a few gorgeous night shots in that set.

I blog too fast. There! I’ve said it. I tried to post here, to Holy Shmoly!, to The Funny Video Blog every day but there’s only so much one man can do.
Instead, this blog will of course be updated every day, Holy Shmoly will be updated at most 3 times a week, and I’ll try to post one funny video a week.
Then I’ll have time to play with my son, watch him discover the world and enjoy the great times.
Ryan - thank you for the recommendation and a happy new year to you too!
