It snowed in Blarney today. First snow of the season fell 2 days ago but was barely a few flakes that fell overnight. Today’s snow covered the area in a blank of white, but thankfully didn’t last too long! Roads are still affected and unfortunately there’s a steep hill coming into my estate.

What kind of trees are those? They look like some sort of palm tree and that just blew my mind when I was driving through Limerick a couple years ago.
But then, I’d been up some 32 hours (next time I’ll fly Aer Lingus) and was driving a strange car (left hand gear shift) on strange roads (saw the first roundabout of my life leaving Shannon airport. Got honked at by irate person behind me while I was trying to figure out what to make of the blasted thing) with strange (to me) rules of engagement; so it probably wasn’t taking a whole lot to amaze me at the moment.
Still, I’d like to know what sort of trees they actually are.
Lovely picture hon!
I love the shock of seeing palm trees and snow together, and you caught the snow flakes in full flurry. Neat shot.
Now this is that called nature
