A green boat sits in the shallows at low tide in Crosshaven, County Cork.
Beached boats have the same effect on me as old cars and camper vans. They are full of possibilities and stories that I can spend days imagining and dreaming about. Good shot. I like the ladder. It implies action and activity but there is nobody there to confirm it.
I’m sure about the activity. Besides the ladder the bow lines look like they’re in pretty good shape.
I wonder what the difference in depth of water is between the tide being fully in and fully out..
Hello, I came across your blog while procrastinating and I’m glad I did. I really like your photography. I grew up in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick and alas, only visited Cork a few times! It’s on my “To do one day list”. For now I’m busy doing pet and wildlife photography in southwest Florida. Ciao!
Great lines. The rope naturally leads the eye to the ladder and then to the boat’s end. It’s also fortunate that the buoy is there for a little contrast.
