Clancy’s Youghal
Clancy’s Bar and Restaurant in Youghal has apparently been closed for quite some time. I never knew the place but my wife was surprised and disappointed to see the For Sale signs outside.
I didn’t even notice the people walking along the road until I looked at the photo on my monitor!

Great shot – sums up the over (re)-development of coastal Ireland.
You won’t believe this Donncha but the two people walking along the road? One is my brother and the other is his girlfriend. Missing from the photo is their dog who was probably with them somewhere.
Robert – that’s mad. Next time we’re heading down to Youghal I need to give you a ring first!
I remember working on the Youghal bypass and spending some nights in there wondering was it part of my job description to get blotto with a group of people I only knew through the job.
Richard – I should post more photos of pubs eh?
There’s a pub in Bantry called Baby Hannahs – great name for a pub.
Give me a shout Donncha,
The area around the town walls and St. Mary’s collegiate church with the really old graveyard is well worth photographing.
