Public Seating
Plastic seats outside a house, near yesterday’s home I think.
We went for a walk this evening by the reservoir in Inniscarra and I got some nice shots of my family and of the setting sun over the water. Unfortunately when I got home a number of shots were corrupted. I’m not sure why or how, but I’ll have to set aside some time this week to test the card. It’s brand new, only bought a few months ago when I bought the Canon 40D. Grrr.

Unfortunately this is a write problem with Canon 40D and certain memory card brands. You should have get a decent camera….something like…lets say…Nikon
.Joking here. Try another memory card and see how you get on or check the little lock/unlock switch. I had a 8GB card last year that was working fine as long I didnt remove it from the camera, which apparently made the switch move half way and damage the files.
There isn’t a lock/unlock switch on CF cards, from what I can see. I’ll test the card this week with a heavy dose of shooting random things around the house. Shame too as it’s a Sandisk extreme III, 2GB card which you’d think would be good enough. Grrr.
Oh. My bad. Didn’t realize is a CF card. Put the camera on burst and fill the card and see if you experience similar problems. I would also put in an older card. A friend had a similar problem but he solved it by formating the card in the camera. No more problems since.
