Mr Crow performs for St Patrick’s Festival 2005 in Cork

“On the count of three you pull!”

Mr Crow is crazy, there’s no question of that. First of all he introduced his ex-girlfriend’s head, which he swung around his own head while juggling 3 doll heads! He “helped” a girl from the audience juggle, and finally he climbed up onto an unstable platform and asked two men to pull supports from under him.
Then he juggled knifes. *gulp*

Thansk Micki. He was great fun to watch. I’m going to post a few more shots of the festival over the next few days so keep tuned!

Awh that’s brilliant. I didnt notice the head until you mentioned it in the text, weird lol. Which supports is the guy supposed to pull out? or are they already pulled out in that last shot.

    Wonderful. Great choice of black&white.

My favourite has to be the look of joy, but like Micki I hadn’t noticed the head. I had to g back and have another look.

Did you use fill-in-flash for these? If not, care to share the method for the b&w convert? ;)

In the last picture, see the guy on the right? He has a length of string in his hand, there’s a small tube connected to it flying around near the ground. That’s what he pulled out.
There’s another guy on the other side but I cropped him out for creative purposes :)

Cornell – I did use flash, I’m glad I brought my heavy EX580 as it worked wonderfully. I’m not experienced enough at using it to shoot at anything but program mode so it used a setting of 1/60 sec and about f/8. I had to blur the crowd in the backround a small bit because the DOF was so deep!
All images were converted using the channel mixer in the GIMP. Before converting I noted what the strong colours were. Mr Crow’s shirt is blue so I made sure to pump up the blue channel a bit and checked the “monochrome” checkbox.
