A tree wrapped in a woven covering with the peace sign on it in Reykjavik. Anyone know the story behind it?

Phil Oakley of The Human League on stage in Cork last weekend.

The Human League played to a packed crowd in Cork last night. Murphy’s sponsored the event as part of their Little Big Nights Out promotion so there was plenty of the black stuff drunk. I still have my voucher if anyone wants it?
The band played most of their hits, mixing in songs I’ve never heard as I’ve never bought any of their albums. Still, it was surreal hearing them sing Don’t you want me and other songs that synonymous with 80′s music!
Yes girls, there’ll be a picture of Phil Oakley in a few days time …

Cadiz is a city and port in the Iberian Peninsula in Spain. The centre of the city is filled with old alleys and narrow streets. Here’s I shot straight upwards at the junction of 4 such alleys, I think it was here near the local cathedral.
Many years ago I took a similar photo of buildings in San Francisco.

There’s rough ground next to the Opera House in Reykjavik, Iceland and what looks like reclaimation efforts nearby. This excavator, shovel and anchor are just left there next to parked cars. The snow covers the dark volcanic earth.

Mylo, a yorkie that was taken from the CSPCA Animal’s Home in Mahon, Cork. He’s looking a lot healthier than he was when he was adopted and left the care of the CSPCA. I was lucky to get this shot as he’s such an excitable dog he was jumping up and down, wagging his tail and a delight for all of us.
Pictured at the Friends of Animals in CSPCA petition on Patrick Street last Saturday.
